To Cris From Liz

This year I had Cris to give service for. My first deed was to do something that honors women in Merida, Mexico.  A quick and easy google search lead me to this charity - International Women's Club of Merida. I was able to make a financial donation in Cris' name. They highly value education and I know Cris taught school for a while when she lived there so I felt it was a good fit.

Not sure what else I could do in that vein, I continued to look for things to do. In November, a gal in our ward lost her brother in a car accident and left behind several children and wife. I was all too familiar with the pain of her loss and decided to help if possible. I made a financial donation to the "Go Fund Me" campaign their family started. I told them of our own story of losing David and shared our blog in case it provided any comfort.
