For Casey, Love Sister Kirkby
Hello everyone! As a missionary, it's hard to find ideas/take time to come up with a service project that's super elaborate and creative and wow, but I then thought that that's not what Christmas is about anyways. It's just those small acts of service that bring about the greatest joys :) This year I had Casey, and as I knew I'd be a missionary for most of the year, I thought I'd do something missionary related, right? Well, I had a companion who has a cousin in England on a mission right now, and I thought "perfect! Casey served in England, I'm a missionary, I'll do something for this missionary!" and then it was time to plan. I boggled my brain for forever trying to think of something useful to send this missionary, rather than a giant box of candy that, let's be real, no missionary needs, and it came to me! A Missionary Daily Planner is a prime tool in our work. We plan all of our events by half hours in order to ensure that we have productive things to do every day. It's a tradition here in the WVCM to decorate our planners for each transfer, and so I did something as simple as create really cool covers for this elder and his companion. It's really simple, but I thought about how I would love to get something like this in the mail, and thought it was a great idea for any missionary, let alone one serving in England! Merry Christmas Casey! I don't know where your babies red hair came from, but he's dang cute! I love your little family, and I wish you the very best this Christmas!
